Who is a Content Creator?
This is perhaps the easiest one to understand.
Anybody who creates content and posts it on any media/channel is called a content creator.
For example, I (Preeti Gupta) am a content creator for Packted and LinkedIn.
The content creator can create content of any type, whether it’s text-based, image-based, video-based, or anything else.
Also, the publishing medium can be different, from social media to websites, podcasts to radio, or Television.
The catch is that you must create something for your audience on a regular basis. That’s it. This is what you need to be a content creator.
Also, you don’t need any qualifications or skills to be a content creator. Although it is recommended that you should be skilled in what you’re talking about.
It’s time to know about…
Who is a Content Marketer?
According to Wikipedia, “Content marketing is a form of marketing focused on creating, publishing, and distributing content for a targeted audience online. It is often used by businesses in order to achieve the following goals: attract attention and generate leads, expand their customer base, generate or increase online sales, increase brand awareness or credibility, and engage an online community of users.”
Let’s break it into something simple:
Content marketing is a type of marketing that is used to help achieve a goal with the help of content. The goals can be awareness, lead generation, conversions, and more.
This is a part of organic marketing or inbound marketing where we acquire leads and sales organically, rather than spending on ads.
Good content marketing shouldn’t feel like marketing. It should feel like a part of your customer’s journey.
A great content marketing strategy requires a successful marriage of every kind of content like:
- Blogs (textual content)
- Social Media (on-the-go content)
- Videos (video content)
- Podcast (Audio content)
