Confidence and clarity: Raquel’s Transformation with 1:1 SEO Coaching by Preeti

Confidence and clarity: Raquel's Transformation with 1:1 SEO Coaching by Preeti

Raquel is the Founder and CEO of Seoulful Connect. She was struggling and was confused about a bunch of different SEO topics and needed someone who could help her clarify her doubts. That’s when she got to know about 1:1 SEO Coaching through the Women in Tech SEO (WTS) community, of which I am also part.

After understanding her concerns, I made a custom coaching plan for her that included 18 calls. Each call was about a topic she was interested to know more about. The time, date, topic, and everything was decided to keep Raquel’s schedule in mind.

Topics included were advanced Google Search Console, canonical tags, redirects, HTTP status codes, content audit, technical audit, international SEO, and more.

Here are some stats from this coaching:
Calls: 18, 1-hour calls
Duration: 2 months
Industry: Ecommerce, and International SEO
My role: To help her get clarity on different SEO topics

This is a written interview where Raquel tells us her concerns, and how this coaching helped her.

Hey Raquel, can you briefly introduce yourself?

Raquel González Expósito Headshot

Hi, I’m Raquel from Spain. Since I was little, I’ve been obsessed with languages, leading me to learn English, Korean, German, Japanese, and Portuguese, besides my two native languages: Spanish and Catalan. In university, I studied translation and interpretation, followed by a master’s degree in Korean translation. That was my job for a few years until I discovered SEO randomly. Now, I have always been interested in creating websites, IT, and so on, but I had never heard of SEO.

I took a course in SEO translation by Translastars and fell in love. In SEO translation you don’t learn about SEO as deeply, so I thought I would do another master’s degree in Digital Marketing to get more knowledge all of this world, and obviously, focus on the SEO module they offer. I also started taking some courses on my own. I can say it’s been half a year since I started this path and I’ve learned and practiced a lot.

However, when you are mostly self-taught, you encounter more challenges since you have nobody to ask questions to. And that is when I stumbled upon Preeti. She was offering her 1:1 SEO coaching and I thought “Why not?”. Since it is a personalized learning roadmap, I thought it would help me polish the doubts that I was having while I was learning more about SEO.

What were your challenges before you started the personalized coaching?

Before taking the 1:1 SEO Coaching, I thought I had a pretty good knowledge of SEO, but then I realized I still had a lot to learn. I was studying on my own and putting into practice the theory that I was learning from those courses, but sometimes it’s easier said than done.

I got to a point where I struggled and found myself confused about different topics, such as how to implement Hreflang, what is Schema and how it works, how to analyze data from GA4, how to perform a technical audit, or what are the most essential implementations after an audit, or how to implement different strategies depending on the type of website you are working on (i.e., e-commerce, services page…).

That is when I realized I needed someone who could dedicate their time to help me improve those parts, something personalized to help my lack of clarity.

How has this coaching helped you in your journey?

I decided to take 18 classes with Preeti. She asked me beforehand what I wanted to focus on so she could prepare my classes. During the class, she explained all the theories first and then showed me real-time examples (either using GSC or GA4, extensions, or SEO software). She answered every single question I asked her, and sometimes they were confusing or tricky, but she knew all the answers. If she didn’t have a lot of information on certain topics, she would do extensive research and provide me with the links after class.

Thanks to her and her dedication, I got more confidence and clarity in my SEO journey, discovered what was lacking in my existing SEO strategies, and learned a lot of different SEO concepts that I didn’t know existed. I can still seek her expertise through the designated Slack channel that she provides to her clients, so it’s perfect when I have some doubts from time to time.

How good is Preeti Gupta as an SEO Coach?

Very good! You can tell that Preeti loves teaching and sharing all the expertise she has. She prepares the class thoroughly with a customized roadmap based on your skill level and pace and provides you with the notes, resources, and useful tools from each class.

She has a vast knowledge of SEO, and I feel like I have learned more from her than putting all the courses I made together. In normal courses, they teach you the main concepts and a few examples, and sometimes you have to take a test to get the certificate.

With Preeti, I heard of concepts that I’ve never done before (i.e., SPA, x-default attribute, and so on), and worked on scenarios in real-time with her, to be able to see if I understood all the theories that I learned and put them into practice. All my doubts were solved, and I am very satisfied with my learning journey with her. Besides, she is a very fun and charming person to talk to!

How do you recommend 1:1 SEO Coaching to other people?

I definitely do recommend 1:1 SEO Coaching! It might seem like a huge investment at first, but the value of what you learn and how it helps you upgrade your career is bigger.

Thank you so much, Raquel for sharing how 1:1 SEO Coaching has helped you. Raquel provides translation and SEO services, and if you wish to connect with her, then you can do so on Instagram and LinkedIn.
